They will know where you live, you can enjoy their company and it will become more of a holiday than work.

Another great way to make moving day more fun and less like work is to invite a bunch of your friends. Call in a few markers if you’ve ever helped them with something before. Again you will want to make sure to feed and water your friends at least, if not better, than your family. Feed them well, with plenty of beverages, including cold water. Last word on this; don’t wait until they get there to start looking for boxes. If you’ve asked them to help move your things try to have it all boxed up and ready to go. If you want to ask them to help pack then make it clear, else resentment can build.

The administration will check the people out for you and you can usually count on the workers to be there, and at your beck and call. This might be little more expensive than just running an ad but you have a much better chance of finding quality help when and where you need it.

Last if you need someone to do the entire move for you there are plenty of moving companies that would be more than happy to give you a quote on getting your household moved. These, bedbugs, as they are called in the trucking industry will pack, move, unpack and assure that all your things are present and accounted for with as little damage as is possible, and are usually well insured. In addition they are accustomed to bringing their own labor to get the job done.

So there are many options when it comes to making a residential transition as uneventful as possible. You’ll have to choose what you can afford, what you feel comfortable with and how much you want to do yourself.
